Tanzania is a big country. To give you an idea, Tanzania is about as big as Germany, France, and Belgium together. The country has approximately 57 million inhabitants. The main capital is Dodoma, the biggest city though is Dar-es-Salaam. The country is situated just south of the equator.

The Kilimanjaro is situated in the north, on the border with Kenia. Most parks are found around the Kilimanjaro. Zanzibar is an island just north off the coast of Dar-es-Salaam.

Swahili and English are the official languages. Not everyone in the country speaks English but the majority of the people do.
